Board of Directors Michele Pearson, BA, Chair Michele Pearson retired as the Chief of Administrative Services at UCLA Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center where she had oversight of administrative functions, which included purchasing, financial planning and budget, accounts payable, accounts receivable, human resources including compensation, employment labor relations and departmental personnel policy, compliance with HIPPA, AAHC and a state licensed clinical lab, a state licensed inhouse outpatient Pharmacy, Radiology, Physical Therapy, Insurance including defining benefit plans, negotiating policies with vendors and marketing products to students. Ms. Pearson also served as the Chief IT Officer. Ms. Pearson received a BA in English from UCLA and holds lifetime high school teaching credentials. William Vochoska, JD, MBA, Vice Chair William Vochoska is a legal recruiter, who recruits law firm partners who have substantial client followings in technology-oriented industries such as semiconductor design and manufacturing, software development, biotechnology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and cleantech. Mr. Vochoska earned an MBA and JD from the University of Southern California.
Jorn Teutloff, MBA, Secretary and Treasurer Jorn Teutloff is President at JV-Global, a Los Angeles-based strategy consulting firm. His primary focus includes strategic planning, business process reengineering and venture capital for new media, internet, and mobile/wireless companies. Mr. Teutloff previously served as Vice President of Business Development at Koders Inc and was engagement manager with the High Growth consulting practice at Capgemini / Ernst & Young where he led IT Strategy & Transformation engagements for start-up ventures and Fortune 500 companies in a variety of industries. Mr. Teutloff holds an MBA from the University of Southern California.
Mark Ackerman, MD Mark Ackerman is Staff Physician at the University of California Los Angeles. He previously worked as Staff Physician at On Lok Senior Health which provides ongoing comprehensive quality health care to frail elderly using a multidisciplinary team approach in the outpatient as well as inpatient and skilled nursing facility settings. Dr. Ackerman has served as Clinic Instructor at St. Mary’s Medical Center and as Assistant Clinic Professor of Medicine at the University of California San Francisco. He received his Medical Doctorate with Distinction in Research at State University at Stony Brook.
Margaret E. Phillips, PhD Margaret E. Phillips, Associate Professor of International Business at Pepperdine University’s George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management, holds a B.A. in psychology from UCLA, an M.S. in administration from the Graduate School of Management at UC Irvine, and a Ph.D. in management from the Anderson School at UCLA. She has taught in the Pepperdine Executive, FEMBA, and FTMBA programs, and in both the MBA and Ph.D. programs at the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA. Dr. Phillips has worked with multi-institutional consortia in California and New York, within the federal government, and in both line and staff positions in various public sector organizations.
Robert Winn, JD Robert Winn is an award-winning producer, director, and editor of documentaries, with a background as a lawyer in international trade, immigration, and human rights. He received his JD from Yale University and has worked at Steptoe & Johnson, a Washington DC law firm. He has also received a MFA from the USC School of Cinema-Television and has produced, directed, and edited documentaries for public television about social issues, Asia, and Asian Americans. His credits include “Grassroots Rising,” about the Asian American working class in LA and “Saigon, USA,” about the Vietnamese American community. He is a recipient of grants from Corporation for Public Broadcasting, California Council for the Humanities, Rockefeller Foundation, and Annie E. Casey Foundation. |
