The Community Clinic

Emperor’s College Community Clinic is a valued community resource that has served Santa Monica and the surrounding area since 1983. We are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our patients through quality and affordable health care. Student interns under the supervision of licensed, experienced acupuncturists provide over 15,000 treatments a year to individuals presenting a wide range of clinical conditions. Reasonably-priced treatments ensure that clinic services remain affordable to the public. Our on-site Herbal Dispensary is one of the most extensive in the country, stocked with over 450 raw and powdered herbs, 300 herbs in pill or tablet form, and a large number of herbal tinctures.

Facility and Hours of Operation:

The busy clinic is located at Wilshire Blvd and 18th Streets in Santa Monica, a short distance from the 10 and 405 freeways, and conveniently close to several bus lines. Metered parking is available on Wilshire, and a fee parking lot is located behind the complex, with entry from 19th Street.

Clinic Hours are:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday - 8am to 9pm
Tuesday, Friday, Saturday - 8am to 6pm
Closed Sunday

Treatment and Fees:

Treatments are approximately an hour and a half in length. A comprehensive medical history is taken during the initial visit. At each visit, the student intern will conduct a 15 to 20-minute intake, including tongue and pulse diagnoses that are the staple of traditional Oriental medicine. Once the needles are placed into position, the patient rests for about 30 minutes. After completion of the treatment, a custom herbal formula is prepared to address and harmonize the condition.
