EC at the WLA VA Stand Down
Emperor’s College is honored to have been selected to be the sole provider of acupuncture services at the West Los Angeles VA Stand Down, the first event of its kind on the West LA VA campus. Emperor’s students and alum will treat vets as part of a larger wellness effort. The November 4-5, 2015 event will provide a host of supplies, services and benefits counseling to homeless veterans.

Over the course of six days, 93 volunteers organized by Emperor’s College treated over 2,200 athletes at the 2015 Special Olympics World Games. It was the first time that Oriental medicine had been made available to the athletes of any Special Olympics World Games. By all accounts, it was an enormous success, providing highly sought after treatments to the athletes and providing a transformative opportunity for the students and alumni of Emperor’s College to treat people from across the globe in what was the largest sports and humanitarian event in the world in 2015.

Emperor’s College is honored to be recognized as a Medical Champion sponsor of the Games and has been chosen to serve as a health and wellness care provider. We will be organizing a group of DAOM students, alumni, faculty and interns to treat the estimated 10,000 athletes and coaches participating in the Summer Games at the end of July. Athletes from all over the world will be participating, it will be the largest sporting and humanitarian event in the world in 2015.
